SotS vs. Chair Massage

The massage chair that has become so common in recent decades was originally invented by a shiatsu practitioner! Unfortuntely most therapists are not trained in shiatsu techniques. Shiatsu was originally designed for a clothed and often seated client, but many therapists take Swedish massage techniques, meant for use on disrobed oiled clients lying on a table, and attempt to adapt these to a seated clothed client.

Shiatsu on the Spot uses the techniques of acupressure to do more than just relax tight muscles; it works toward the balancing of all aspects of the body and the mind.

If having clients sit on a specialized massage chair with their face pressed into a pad isn't right for your setting or event, EarthTouch's Shiatsu on the Spot can seat clients on a simple dignified wooden stool.
